Spider Advertising | NSAC 2021

The Challenge Tinder lacks downloads amongst 18 and 19-year olds. We were tasked with figuring out why and with creating a plan to fix it.

The Solution Through conducting focus groups, surveys, and extensive secondary research, we found that young adults avoided Tinder due to misconceptions surrounding the safety of the app and other users' motivations for being on the app.

Our strategy focused on raising awareness of the safety features that Tinder has developed in recent years through a comedic and relatable lens. Check out our deck here!

Bee Bald | Bald Is...

The Challenge Bee Bald, a grooming brand targeted at bald men, needed to build a bigger audience. But its social media strategy often fell short by joking about baldness and failing to acknowledge the profound effect it has on men.

The Solution I created a campaign called "Bald Is..." to directly address the insecurity that can develop due to baldness. Body positivity isn't just for women!
The Shark Group | Intern Video Contest (1st Place)

The Challenge Create a one-minute video for Daymond John with ten allotted minutes of filming time and two hours of professional editing. We had an issue with the music and did not have any three days before presentation day.

The Solution I taught myself GarageBand in one night and pulled the music together for a winning video.
The Collegian | Are You in the Know?

The Challenge University of Richmond's newspaper, The Collegian, lacked app downloads, particularly amongst freshmen, since many didn't know about the paper, much less that it had an app.

The Solution I designed a business card advertising the paper and the app, got around 800 printed at the print shop, and put a team together to place them in the key card slots of every freshman dorm so they'd be pretty dang near impossible to miss!
The Collegian | Roxberry Profit Share

The Challenge Raise awareness for a profit share at a nearby acaí bowl shop to raise funds for the paper.

The Solution I created a Snapchat geo-filter for the event so attendees who posted photos on their My Story using the filter would further publicize the event.
Baby Shower | Little Cutie

The Challenge Create a gender neutral baby shower theme for a couple that won't know the gender by the time of the party.

The Solution An orange "cutie" theme and color palette was the perfect gender-neutral concept, and lent itself well to the late summer timing.
